Captain: Mario Giacomuzzi
Nationality: Canadian.
With more than 30 years experience in the yachting industry, Mario is a wealth of knowledge. Mario began sailing in the Great Lakes from a young age. Since then has work on a huge variety of yachts from 9m to 71m. These yachts have been equally split between charter and private making him a well versed and competent captain. Mario has previously worked on YAAKUN, PAZ, HAIDA G, INDIGO STAR and STEFAREN. Mario enjoys staying fit through running and skiing. Mario can speak Spanish and German.
Chief Officer: Stuart Tucker
Nationality: British.
Stuart studied chartered surveying at university and began his career in the UK as a chartered surveyor for 11 years. Stuart was brought up in a sailing family and has been around different types of yachts for many years so it was a natural transition to the industry. Stuart has previously worked on charter yachts in the Caribbean and has completed many delivery trips. He has worked on a 49m Perini Navi and a 54m motor yacht amongst others. Stuart holds his PADI Rescue Diver and enjoys reading, hiking, Motor racing and music. Stuart has basic French.
Chief Engineer: Stuart Davis
Nationality: British.
Stuart hails from the South west of England. Stuart previously worked in the British Royal Navy as a Marine Engineer for 22 years. He is incredibly well versed in the maintenance and operation of many types of yacht systems and equipment. Stuart started working in the yachting industry in 2008 when he joined M/Y GAS GAS as the chief engineer. Since then Stuart has worked on M/Y LATITUDE, M/Y AFRICAN CAT and M/Y ODESSA. Stuart enjoys motor sports, walking, cycling, reading and logic problems!
Chef Sonia Le Pape
Nationality: French.
Sonia grew up in France and quickly developed a passion for cooking and hospitality. Sonia's early career began as an Owner of a seafood and grill restaurant in the South of France and as an Owner/Chef of an Italian restaurant. Sonia has also worked as chef catering in Villas for private guests and events and has been engaged to work through winter seasons in Courchevel and Meribel in the French Alps. Sonia has 13 years experience working on numerous private and charter yachts and at events in the South of France. Most recently Sonia has worked aboard the 78m M/Y C2, M/Y SNAPPER, 37m M/Y SEABLUE'Z and the 43m S/Y SENSO ONE. During her career in the yachting industry and her experience previous to that Sonia has perfected her skills in a wide range of cuisines including French, Italian, Kosher, Thai and Sushi. Sonia speaks fluent English and French and has a good grasp of Italian, Spanish and German.
Chief Stewardess: Rasa Meskiene
Nationality: Lithuanian.
Rasa grew up in Lithuania where she grew up beside the sea, after attending St Simkaus Higher Music School Rasa decided to pursue a career in the yachting industry. Rasa has previously worked on board the 70m M/Y NOMAD, which taught her many skills that she is now using in her new role on board BLIND DATE. Rasa enjoys music, dancing and massage. Rasa speaks Lithuanian, English, Russian and Italian fluently.
Engineer/Deckhand
Nationality: French.
Brendan has grown up in a sailing family, at the age of 14 he sailed around the Mediterranean for two years with his father - a French Naval Officer. Previously Brendan has worked on SY SUNDARA and MY NAJADE and has gained much experience in both private and charter sectors. Brendan enjoys being on the water and takes part in many water sports such as wake boarding. On top of this Brendan has a passion for travelling, photography, cooking and reading. Brendan is fluent in French and has basic Italian and German.
